Sport & Story Earns Four Emmy Nominations
FAYETTEVILLE, AR – April 14, 2026 – Sport & Story has been honored with four nominations in this year’s Southeast Regional Emmys, with Gamecocks+ and WarEagle+ each earning multiple recognitions.
WarEagle+, the official content network of Auburn Athletics, was recognized for “Unspoken: 2010,” a three-part docuseries that chronicles Auburn’s 2010 National Championship season through the eyes of key members of the team. The series earned finalist spots in both the Sports Documentary and Non-News Promotional Campaign categories.
“Our WarEagle+ team has a tremendous partnership here at Auburn, which allows us to tell incredible stories like Unspoken,” WarEagle+ General Manager Andrew Aaron said. “The 2010 team holds a special place in the hearts of the Auburn family. It is an honor to tell the stories and go behind-the-scenes of so many memories with such a special group of individuals, these are the stories we love to be able to tell.”
Gamecocks+, the official content network of South Carolina Athletics, had two pieces recognized. “Gamecocks Untold: Saint Juste,” a powerful story of resilience, family, and the life-changing journey that brought Junior Saint Juste from Haiti to South Carolina, earned a finalist spot in the One-Time Sports Special category. “Black Magic: The Story of the 1984 Gamecocks,” a dramatic look back at South Carolina football’s unforgettable 1984 season, earned a finalist spot in the Sports Documentary category.
“Our goal has always been to tell meaningful stories and connect Gamecock fans with the teams and athletes that wear the Garnet & Black,” Gamecocks+ General Manager Dakota Watson said. “There is a lot of pride in wearing that Gamecock jersey, and there is an unmatched passion within this fan base that we look forward to continue to serve through storytelling."
The Emmy nominations mark the second time in the past three years that both platforms earned Emmy recognition. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 in Atlanta, GA.
