OSU Max Nominated for Two Heartland Regional Emmy Awards
OSU Max, the official content network for Oklahoma State Athletics, is proud to announce that two of their projects, “Out Of Nowhere: The Barry Sanders Story” and “Resilience: The Story of The 2023 OSU Football Team”, have been nominated for a Heartland Regional Emmy Award.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment for our team at OSUMax. They work incredibly hard to build connections and tell the stories of the rich successes and history at Oklahoma State,” Sport & Story President Victor Vitarelli said. “We couldn’t have done it without the great partnership we’ve built with the OSU Athletics department. They are committed to delivering high-quality content to their fans, and we look forward to continuing to work together for many years to come.”
It marks the second time in the past three years that OSU Max has earned an Emmy nomination, following the 2023 nomination of the original series, “The Follow" and its episode titled, “Growing Season.”
“Out Of Nowhere: The Barry Sanders Story” relived the glory days of one of the greatest college football players in the game’s history, taking you through the recruitment and OSU career of Hall of Famer Barry Sanders.
Hear from Barry, former players, former coaches and so much more as the original film takes you through an electric time in Stillwater.
“Resilience” brought fans behind closed doors to experience the full picture of a historic football season, in which the Cowboys rolled into the Big 12 Title game and a Texas Bowl victory.
The documentary featured never-before-seen footage of team meetings from the season, including the moment the season turned around prior to the Kansas State game, plus new interviews and commentary from Dave Hunziker, Robert Allen, Nick Martin, De'Zhaun Stribling, Colin Oliver, Preston, Wilson, Jake Springfield, Joe Michalski and Ollie Gordon.
The Heartland Regional Emmy® Awards will be held on July 19, 2025.
